FAQS

Clear Answers Before You Commit.

ERP decisions get harder when cost, timing, scope, data, and ownership are unclear. These Acumatica ERP FAQs cover the questions teams should answer before implementation starts.

FAQ SECTION

What Buyers Need to Know Up Front.

How long will our Acumatica implementation take, and what will our team need to contribute?

Timing depends on the business processes in scope, data quality, integrations, customizations, testing, training, and the availability of people who can make decisions. Start with a defined scope and named process owners, then build a schedule around design, test cycles, migration, and cutover.

The software price depends on the applications, expected usage and resource requirements, and deployment choice. Project services depend on the workflows, integrations, data migration, testing, and training in scope.

Acumatica provides APIs and import/export options, but each connection needs to be assessed. We first establish which system owns each record, how often information must move, and how missing, rejected, or duplicate transactions will be handled. The integration method follows those requirements

Define the master records, opening balances, open transactions, and historical information required in the new system. Some older records may be kept accessible outside Acumatica if that meets the business and retention requirements. Test the conversion and reconcile the results before cutover.

Yes. Send us the details of your current environment, integrations, extensions, and outstanding issues. We assess the build and agree on the support scope before committing

Agree on the handoff before launch: early stabilization, help-desk requests, incident ownership, integration monitoring, product updates, training, and recurring improvements. The support agreement should state responsibilities, escalation paths, and what is included.

Name the people who can make decisions about finance, inventory, purchasing, reporting, integrations, and data. Make time for migration review, process sign-off, user testing, and training. A business review can identify open decisions and capacity gaps before the scope is set.

Pricing depends on the applications, licensing method, expected usage and resources, and deployment. Acumatica advertises unlimited-user options, but the 2026 licensing guide also sets named-user limits for specific editions and methods, including Essentials. Confirm your edition, user model, API capacity, storage, and anticipated transaction volume before comparing quotes.

Acumatica offers SaaS and private-cloud subscription options. Hosting, upgrades, backups, and operating responsibilities vary by option. Choose based on your IT, security, and compliance requirements, and agree on access to your data and recovery needs before signing.
